Print management for production document printing
Doc-Q-manager
Doc-Q-manager is a print job management system for Microsoft Windows that can control print queues throughout the organisation. From desktop devices to Central Reprographics Departments Doc-Q-manager provides control over printing and control over the cost of printing.
Doc-Q-manager’s open system approach to job ticketing and variable data allows any Windows supported printer - colour or black and white - to be addressed. The modular nature of Doc-Q-manager allows users to build the system that exactly meets their requirements - from small to large organisations, departmental to enterprise wide. Users can mix and match from the following functions to create the perfect system.
- Job Ticketing - completely configurable HTML job ticket that supports cost estimation and PCSM client billing and allows jobs to be sent across the network or the internet
- Print Queue Management – automatic failover, moving print jobs between printers, preview before printing, selective printing
- Workflow – applying rules to print jobs so that they are routed by their size or name to the most suitable printer, and then notifying the job owners
- Accounting – Doc-Q-manager integrates with PCSM to allow the CRD and the enterprise to be accounted for together
- Cluster Printing – for resilience and flexibility, creating groups of printers that are treated as one large virtual printer
- Variable Data – automatically recognising a flat Variable DataStream and merging this into a pre-defined form or document
- Corporate Workgroup - splits sets up and spreads them across working, compatible printers in the group. When print jobs are sent to a printer within a pre-defined group that is in a fatal error state, it will instead be routed to a working compatible printer within that group
